On behalf of the Town of Melbourne Village and the Melbourne Village Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our Web page. Our intent, within the pages of this site will be to provide useful information that will assist you if you are in need of our service.
The Town of Melbourne Village is located in Brevard County and is a community of just over 700 residents. The natural foliage and rural atmosphere found in the Village distinguish it from the metropolitan development found in our neighboring cities of West Melbourne and Melbourne. Incorporated in 1957, Melbourne Village has a rich and colorful history that dates from the Village's first settlers that moved here during the depression era to establish a self-sufficient community.
The Melbourne Village Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency providing service to the community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A staff of 1 Chief, 1 Sergeant, 6 Patrol Officers, and 5 volunteers allows the department to provide many of the nontraditional services usually found only in larger police agencies. At the same time providing that personal touch that the larger agencies are unable to provide. Our administrative number is (321) 725-7224, or our FAX number (321) 984-7219. Due to the small nature of our department we contract with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office to dispatch our calls. For Non-emergency calls contact their dispatch center at 321-952-6371. In case of an emergency Dial 911
