Hurricane Information
Melbourne Village has developed a street captain program of cooperation in order to unite our community during a time of stress and uncertainty. The Melbourne Village Police Department strongly relies on our community street captains and their due diligence in gathering and providing valuable safety information to us. The purpose of the street captains is to gather information on who is evacuating, special needs, or those remaining who may need additional help in preparation for a hurricane event. The information provided to the police department allows us as first responders to better check and safeguard your homes after you may have evacuated for the hurricane and after it has passed. You can refer to the Town of Melbourne Village website for more details on the program.

Information of hurricane preparedness checklists, guides, and useful links about hurricane can also be found there.
