Officer Nick Huckabee

Dear Sir,

I wish to formally commend you for the outstanding work that you accomplished on December 14, 2007.

You responded to 506 South Wildwood in reference to an unresponsive female. It was unknown to you at that time that the female in question was long time town leader and current Commissioner, Mary Beasom. Upon arrival you made contact with James Beasom who led you to Mary who was unresponsive.

Without hesitation you started to administer CPR and continued to do so until Brevard County Fire Rescue arrived. Although your efforts were unable to revive Commissioner Beasom, your quick actions and dedication as a first responder should be recognized.

A copy of this letter will be placed in your file for further consideration. Officer Huckabee, you are a true credit to this police department, yourself and the law enforcement community.
